A Dallas Mavericks fan favorite will reportedly test free agency this offseason.

Since entering the NBA in 2016, Finney-Smith has established a reputation as a solid 3-and-D forward. He spent the latter portion of the 2024-25 season with the Lakers, averaging 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
Finney-Smith played for the Mavericks from 2016-23. He was part of the trade package sent to the Brooklyn Nets when the Mavericks acquired Kyrie Irving. The forward spent nearly three seasons in Brooklyn before he was traded to Los Angeles in December 2024.
Finney-Smith notably worked his way up from undrafted rookie to consistent starter during his Dallas tenure. He was one of a few former Mavericks to suit up for the Lakers last season, teaming up with players like superstar Luka Doncic.
NBA teams can officially begin negotiating with free agents at 5 p.m. CT Monday evening.
