We’re officially one step closer to the NFL’s 2025 season.
While the Dallas Cowboys and other teams will share their full 2025 schedules Wednesday evening, a few notable games have already been revealed.
Dallas has a marquee matchup in Week 1, opening its campaign against the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles on the road.
In the Thanksgiving Day game Week 13 at AT&T Stadium, they’ll face the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, a homecoming for the Tyler native and Texas Tech product.
“I think it’s cool. I mean, obviously another team that played the Super Bowl last year, have been champions past few years, and a quarterback being from the Dallas area,” quarterback Dak Prescott said of the matchup during a Wednesday interview with Sportsradio 96.7 FM/1310 The Ticket (KTCK-AM).
“I think it’s pretty cool just getting to host them here at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving. As you said, knowing it’s such a tradition, with a great halftime show, I think the NFL is going to get what they want.”
The Cowboys have won their last three Turkey Day games, and the last time they faced Kansas City on Thanksgiving, Dallas won the game, 24-12, in 1995 at Texas Stadium.
The NFL’s full 2025 schedule release is set to air at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on NFL Network.
In years past, teams have found creative ways to reveal their season slates. Last year’s Cowboys bit featured FaceTime calls to notable fans of NFL teams like Eli Manning (Giants) and Dawn Staley (Eagles).
